Art 'Roast'
and Scholarship Fundraiser
We here at the NCSU Turfgrass Program could not allow our dear friend and colleague
Dr. Art Bruneau's
retirement happen without a proper sendoff. So, after many turf workgroup meetings,
discussions with industry members, students, researchers, staff, and extension personnel,
it became evident we would need to host a 'Roast'. We have aptly named this special
catered cookout event the Art 'Roast'.
This will allow all of the people Art has touched over the years one last chance
to express their gratitude, share a few memories, and send Art off with a laugh
or two. This is an open invitation event for those who have been impacted by the
nearly 30 years of Art Bruneau's work here at NC State-simply register for the cookout
and come join the fun.
Proceeds of these events to benefit the NC Agricultural Foundation. Enjoy a special
event dinner while helping raise funds for scholarships and research in honor of
Dr. Bruneau.

What's for DINNER?
When Dr. John R. Dykers, Jr. came to Siler City in 1964 to practice medicine, he wanted to help his patients live healthier lives. He urged them to stop smoking, excercise regularly, and observe a proper diet. He knew that for beef to be part of a healthy diet it would have to be tender and juicy, yet have much less fat and cholesterol than old fashioned marbled meat.
CharLean Beef comes from the New Hope Farm where Charolais cattle are gently raised on their mother's milk, grass pastures and grain feed with no antibiotics, no hormones, or animal protein supplements.
This Beef is on your diet.

Carolina Brewery maker of AWARD WINNING BEERS has generously donated a half barrel
each of Firecracker Ale, and Copperline Amber Ale. How good are they on a hot day
after a hard tournament of golf? AWARD WINNING GOOD.
Firecracker Pale Ale: A special brew to commemorate American Beer Month, first brewed
in 2004. “Firecracker Pale Ale” is a true American classic straw colored ale made
with fresh North West Chinook hops. This is an easy drinking beer that still packs
a punch. Pick up your pint to toast our favorite month of the year!
Copperline Amber Ale: This brilliant red ale, brewed with caramel and pale malts
is a best seller at the Carolina Brewery. Using traditional brewing methods, the
ale yeast provides a touch of fruit and works in tandem with the malt to make for
a very drinkable ale. Kent Golding hops lend just enough bitterness and aroma to
round out the flavor. GOLD MEDAL-WORLD BEER CHAMPIONSHIPS
