2020 Spring / Summer Internship at Sand Valley Golf Resort in Rome, WI

The newly developed Sand Valley Golf Resort in Rome, WI, is a continuation of Bandon Dunes founder Mike Keiser’s mission to bring “Golf As It Was Meant To Be” to the U.S. Located in central Wisconsin, Sand Valley is situated on over 1,700 acres of massive, tumbling native sand dunes and unique heathland vegetation.

In early summer 2018, Sand Valley featured 3 distinct golf courses: Sand Valley, by design team Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, opened May 2017 and was awarded “Best New Course You Can Play – 2017” by Golf Magazine. Mammoth Dunes by David Kidd opened early summer 2018 and was awarded “The Best New Course of 2018.”  The Sandbox is a 17-hole par-3 course designed by Coore & Crenshaw and was named “Best New Short Course – 2018.” In addition, Sand Valley opened 9 grass tennis courts this past spring.

Sand Valley has internship opportunities available in Spring of 2020 in the Course and Grounds Maintenance Department. Candidates will have the opportunity to maintain bentgrass greens and fescue fairways on Sand Valley or Mammoth Dunes. Also, they can participate with the construction and grown in of the fourth golf course, Sedge Valley in the Summer of 2020.

This is a unique opportunity for students or graduates who would be interested in interning at Sand Valley. Applicants can reply to Agronomy Director Robert Duhm directly at the address below or to a course Superintendent: Andy Brownlow (Mammoth Dunes); Jimmy Humston (Sand Valley);,  or Patrick Bean (Sandbox)
