Internship at Lost Tree Club in North Palm Beach, FL

Lost Tree Club is an exclusive, private 18-hole facility located in North Palm Beach, Florida. Originally designed by Mark Mahannah in 1961, the course underwent a major renovation in 2002, designed by long time Lost Tree member and resident, Jack Nicklaus and maintaining TifEagle bermudagrass greens, seashore paspalum tees, Celebration bermudagrass fairways and TifSport roughs. The irrigation system is supplied through an onsite reverse osmosis plant and consists of Toro Lynx central control with Network VP field controllers.

Educational Requirements
Currently pursuing a two- or four-year degree in turfgrass management or related field.

Experience Requirements
Applicants do not need extensive golf course experience. Completion of at least one internship is a plus, but not necessary.

Special Requirements
A hard-working, highly motivated individual with the goal of pursuing a career in the turfgrass industry. The individuals will work closely with the superintendent and assistant superintendents to gain experience in all facets golf course maintenance. Duties will include, but are not limited to: daily golf course setup, fertilizer and pesticide applications, sprayer and spreader calibration, irrigation troubleshooting and repairs, small project management, and crew management. The experience gained should allow the individuals to transition into management positions once completing their education, either at Lost Tree or another club.

Salary and Benefits
Hourly wage of $14 to $15 plus OT. Club supplemented housing is available at club owned townhomes located approximately 10 minutes from property. Meals and uniforms will be provided. Golfing privileges.
