Annual bluegrass weevil (ABW) season is here and we have new resources for you! Emily in the Billeisen Lab has put together an ABW Management Guide to help turfgrass managers estimate life stage and application timing to combat weevils throughout the season. Northwest NC Mountains sites include Avery and Watauga counties and Southwest NC Mountains sites include Jackson, Transylvania and Henderson counties. We also have a new ABW tracking map with soap flush numbers for different sites that will be updated weekly. Please feel free to use our ABW Tracking Sheets (PDF and Word versions) to keep track of adult soap flush counts. Any questions on timing? Send them our way!
