How does the addition of a surfactant to a spray tank and then irrigating after spraying influence pesticide efficacy? Crop and Soil Science faculty Dr. Travis Gannon is studying how surfactants and post-application irrigation influences distribution of particular fungicides in the soil profile. He is also studying effectiveness of azoxystrobin (Heritage) on brown patch control giving several post-application mowing regimes. This research will allow turfgrass managers to refine management practices on fungicide efficacy while considering environmental fate of the products.
